    Centre for Liberal Arts and Social Sciences in College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CoHASS)  is looking for a candidate to join them as a Senior Research Fellow.


    A Senior Research Fellow with expertise in Art History is being sought to Initiate and lead multi-faceted research project(s) related to the history of photography from the 19th century to the present incorporating interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary methodologies and perspectives, as one of CoHASS’s new initiatives in fostering interdisciplinary research.


     


    Key Responsibilities:




    • To initiate and lead research project(s) in fields within Art History, including but not limited to, History of Photography.




    • To author research publications, develop and curate exhibitions, and/or organise public or scholarly programmes related to these research projects.




    • To identify and author grants to further these research projects and related programming, exhibitions, publications, workshops and conferences.




    • To initiate and develop collaborative research relationships with leading scholars across and beyond NTU.




    • To contribute to the lively intellectual community at NTU’s College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences including organising occasional workshops for undergraduate or postgraduate students.




    • Potential to teach an occasional course at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.




     


    Job Requirements:




    • Doctoral degree in the history of art or a closely related discipline




    • At least 5 years of post-PhD professional experience in object-centered research and/or museum curation




    • Proven record of accomplishment in engaging both the scholarly community and the public including noteworthy publications, exhibitions, and high impact public programmes




    • Commitment to interdisciplinarity concerning the history of photography




    • Preference will be given to candidates with considerable experience in distinguished museums with collections of historical and/or contemporary photography
