Job Purpose
RIT Dubai is currently seeking applications from exceptional candidates for a Visiting Lecturer position in English Writing (specifically developmental writing) starting in the Fall semester of 2024 (August 2024). RIT Dubai is looking for a highly qualified, motivated, and enthusiastic individual. The successful candidate is expected to teach foundational and undergraduate courses in the broad area of academic writing in English. Position appointments may be renewable based on need, funding, and performance.

Required Qualifications:

A master’s degree in composition and rhetoric or ESL writing

• Previous teaching experience at the college level in the Middle East.
• Ability to teach first-year Composition courses, ESL Grammar and Composition
• Ability to work with a culturally diverse student population.
• Competency in instructional technology and learning management system.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
