King Faisal University, located in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia (Al-Ahsa, approximately 150 km from Dammam), announces multiple faculty vacancies at the rank of Assistant Professor (non-Saudis) in the English Language Centre (ELC), College of Arts, with anticipated starting date September 1, 2026.
Position Details
- Specializations: English Language Reading, Writing, and Speaking.
- Rank: Assistant Professor (male/female).
- Duties: Successful candidates are expected to establish an active research program and to contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Hold a PhD in Applied Linguistics or Translation Studies.
- The PhD must be awarded by a university in a country where English is the native language.
- Demonstrate an academic record that includes published research or research accepted for publication in the field of specialization.
- Have at least two years of professional experience in the field of specialization after obtaining the PhD.
- Must not be currently under contract with any institution within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Be available for full-time employment at King Faisal University.
- Possess good conduct and character.
- Fulfill all University requirements, including passing a personal interview.
