- Poetry in the different regions of Arabia in the pre-Islamic and Early Islamic eras: Yemen, East Arabia (al-Yamama and al-Bahrayn); Najd; al-Hijaz; al-Hira (in Iraq).

- Poetry of the Hudhayl tribe.

- Umayyad Poetry especially the Naqa`id poetry

- Theory of Aghrad al-Shi`r (Literally: `Aims of Poetry`) and other theories on the structural division the old Arab poetry

- Old Arabic Anthologies of the Pre-Islamic and Early Islamic Poetry (al-Majmu`at al-Shi`riyya).
