The Department of Linguistics at the University of North Texas seeks to fill a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, with a primary specialization in computational linguistics. We seek candidates who are active researchers in a core linguistics area that complements existing departmental strengths. In addition, the successful candidate will play an important role in the continued development of our programs in computational linguistics at the graduate and undergraduate levels that prepare students for careers in industry as well as academia. Evidence of an active research agenda, a promising trajectory for grant acquisition, and a strong commitment to innovative teaching is required for consideration. The teaching load for tenure-track positions is typically four courses per year, graduate and undergraduate levels. Additional responsibilities include advising/supervision of students and participation in the academic life of the department.
