The College of Wooster invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Department of Africana Studies, commencing 2020-2021. Rank of Associate or Full Professor determined by strength of successful candidate’s teaching experience, broad interdisciplinary training, and/or extensive publications in Africana Diasporic Studies. Must teach introductory and upper-level courses in Africana Studies, supervise undergraduate independent study projects in Africana Studies, and contribute to the College’s First Year Seminar. Ability to teach in one or more other interdisciplinary programs (e.g., Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Queer Studies, Latin American Studies, or Global and International Studies) especially desirable. Ph.D. required. The College of Wooster enrolls a diverse student body (21% domestic students of color and 15% international students); applicants should have experience with diverse student populations.
