Job Description Summary
The Department of Philosophy is seeking candidates for possible instructor positions, beginning the 2023-2024 academic year. These positions are nine-month, non-tenure track and are renewable, contingent upon performance and funding, for up to a maximum of five years. Though they come with teaching responsibilities only, successful candidates are expected to make professional progress. The course load is four classes per semester, but typically do not require more than one preparation per semester. Final appointment is contingent upon funding. PhD in Philosophy by start date is desired, ABD required.
Minimum Qualifications
ABD in Philosophy at the time appointment begins.
Area of Specialty: Open. Area of Competence: Open.
Candidates selected for these positions must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States by the start date and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment; excellent communication skills required.
