Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities
The Department of History and Political Science at Tuskegee University seeks to appoint a tenure track Assistant Professor in History.
Scholars who specialize in Women’s History (19th or 20th century) are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to teach introductory level courses in Global History and upper-level courses in Women’s History and African American History.
In addition, we desire candidates who can demonstrate a skillset in programming departmental events and advising students in the National History Honors Society Program.
Responsibilities include teaching four classes (12 hours) per semester.
Engaging in scholarly research.
Serving on committees, advising students, and performing other duties as assigned by the department chair.
Must have a Ph.D. in history.
Commensurate with education, training and experience.
