Job Description Summary
Auburn University, Auburn, AL. Two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions beginning Fall semester 2025. 3/2 teaching load (5 courses/year). Courses will generally be taught in person, but candidates must be willing to teach in person or online depending on the department’s need. Usual non-teaching duties. AOS: Open. AOC: Open. The department has teaching needs in logic, philosophy of language, philosophy of law, political philosophy, philosophy of race and gender, and other courses contributing to Auburn’s Law and Justice major. Other factors contributing to a successful candidacy include: scholarly record and evidence of research potential, evidence of teaching excellence, and quality of writing sample. Ph.D. is required prior to appointment. Department will conduct on-campus interviews only and conform to the APA’s Statement on the Job Market Calendar.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in Philosophy required at the time employment begins.
The candidates selected for these positions must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United State at the time appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment; excellent communication skills required
