The Department of International Literary and Cultural Studies at Tufts University invites applications for a German Part-time Lecturer position to begin September 1, 2025.

The successful candidate will teach all levels of German language (one to three per academic year) and participate in curricular activities.  Possibility of renewal.

Qualifications

Masters’ degree in German or related field required, Ph.D. preferred.

Native or near-native fluency in German and English.

Experience and demonstrated excellence in designing and teaching college-level German language courses in the U.S. Culture course experience a plus.

Command of instructional technology applied to language learning.

Evidence of creative pedagogical practice reflecting knowledge of current methodologies.
