Lecturer Pool-French Language and Culture-Department of French

The Department of French at the University of California, Berkeley, seeks a pool of non-tenure-track qualified candidates for possible consideration as temporary instructors to teach beginning to advanced level in the area of French language and culture. Applicants will be selected from this pool for one calendar year; those interested in remaining in the pool beyond the final date must reapply.

General Duties:
Responsibilities include teaching lower division beginning to advanced level French courses, curriculum development, and collaborating with other language faculty. In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties include holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, and preparing course materials.

For those who are not US citizens or permanent residents, a legal permit that allows work in the United States (such as a US visa that allows employment) is required by the position's start date. The Department is unable to provide a visa/work permit.
