Description:
The College of Arts and Sciences seeks to fill the position of Assistant Professor of Bioethics, based in the Department of Philosophy, starting August 1, 2026.

This new position is part of an initiative involving the Departments of Philosophy and Religion to expand the University's activity in bioethics. This is a full-time, tenure track position.

The Department of Philosophy offers both undergraduate and Ph.D. courses.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED

  • earned doctorate in an appropriate field by the time of appointment;
  • record of scholarship in bioethics or a related subject;
  • interest in and ability to conduct interdisciplinary collaboration;
  • teaching and professional service experience commensurate with the rank of Assistant Professor.

The position includes the expectation to pursue external grant funding opportunities.
