Mr. Gramith is interested in the cultural, intellectual, and labor history of Europe in the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries. His B.A. thesis detailed the influences of syndicalist and national syndicalist intellectuals on early Italian Fascism and the subsequent marginalization of national syndicalism as the movement gained power and made compromises with conservative institutions. He has since shifted my focus from the first years of Fascism to its collapse and the first years of the postwar period.
