Expertise: Ann Twinam received her Ph.D. from Yale University in 1976 and taught at the University of Cincinnati from 1974 to 2004 when she joined the Department of History at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research centers on colonial Spanish Latin America focusing on gender, sexuality, illegitimacy, family, and race.
