Expertise: Research is focused on the construction of racial and ethnic identities, how race and ethnicity were used as a basis for political mobilization, and interracial political relationships among Asian Americans, Latinos, and Whites in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County. He primarily use qualitative methods - including ethnography, interviews, and archival material - in his research.
