Expertise: Melinda’s research uses experimental and corpus linguistic methods to study the psycholinguistic processes involved in speech production and speech perception, with a particular focus on bilingual speakers. She is broadly interested in the interplay between lexical access and phonetic variation. Her current work examines the production and perception of phonetic variation during codeswitching.
