Expertise: Two of my main research interests include the following: (1) Examinations of students writing in classrooms—particularly the social and relational practices enacted in writing communities and tracings of talk and texts within written arguments, and (2) Experiences of rural English teachers, specifically with regard to advocacy, emotional strain, and collegial interactions.
