Mike's interdisciplinary research explores the history of collections-based knowledge, and the ways in which contemporary technologies contribute to developing and maintaining relationships within and between archives, collections, disciplines, and communities.
Areas of focus include: historical and contemporary collections documentation systems and practice; digital humanities approaches to history and archives; deep history and deep time; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history and collections; and methods for capturing, preserving, and disseminating collections-based knowledge.
