    The Department of Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky invites applications for two full-time Lecturer positions to begin August 1, 2024. The selected candidates will be appointed to a 9-month, non-tenure eligible faculty position for an initial two-year period that has the potential for renewal and for promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years. The successful candidates will have pedagogical expertise and teaching experience in inquiry-driven first year composition and communication, technical writing, and digital studies. The teaching load is three courses a semester and the position will involve service assignments with the department. A M.A. or Ph.D. in English or Writing is required.


    The Department of Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Studies (WRD) offers a BA/BS in Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Studies, a minor in Professional and Technical Writing, and an online certificate in Professional and Technical Writing. Our dynamic faculty teach and research rhetorical theory, professional writing, public rhetorics, digital rhetorics, cultural rhetorics and ethnic studies, and more.
