  • Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Full Professor in Fashion Design and Textile

    Job Purpose


    The College of Fine Arts and Design seeks a qualified candidate to teach full time courses in Fashion Design, History of Fashion Design, Pattern Making, and Styling beginning September 2025.


    Main accountabilities & expectations



    • Ability to teach design studio and related courses in fashion design and textile, with special interest in teaching design, history of fashion design, pattern making, styling and promotion, and advanced textile printing courses.

    • Strong research and publication or art scholarship.

    • Contribution to Fundamentals of Design and Drawing studios.

    • Academically advise undergraduate students.

    • Engage in Program/Department and College assignments, activities, and events.

    • Participate in relevant professional activities to improve teaching and subject matter competence.

    • Serve on faculty committees as appointed or elected.

    • Lead efforts toward community engagement and other activities as assigned by the Department Chair or College Dean.​


    Required Skills


    Applicants holding PhD/MFD/MDes degree with established record of academic performance and scholarly activities. Preference given to candidates demonstrating:



    • Effective teaching skills and professional experience.

    • Solid experience in teaching and learning media & technology.

    • Ability to teach art and design survey courses or printmaking studios.

    • Good record in research and/or artistic scholarly activities.

    • At least 5 years full time teaching experience in higher education institutions.

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills (in English).

    • Strong interpersonal skills towards effective professor-student interactions, both one-on-one (student interaction) and in group (classroom) sessions.

    • Sincere interest in assisting each student within a diverse and multi-cultural community to maximize their academic, spiritual and personal potential.

    • Team player that is motivated to strengthen and advance the department.
