The College of Arts & Sciences (COAS) at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Worldwide (ERAU-W) recently launched a new and innovative Virtual Environment for Communication: Teaching, Outreach, and Research (VECTOR). In support of this Center, COAS will add two (2) new faculty positions in the areas of Technical Communication and English Language Learners (ELL).

VECTOR’s stated mission is to support ERAU students and faculty in teaching, learning, and research related to written, spoken, visual, and digital communication. For students, VECTOR provides tutoring, workshops, and online resources through its Virtual Communication Lab. For faculty, workshops, online resources, and programming aimed at improving their students’ communication skills are the focus, supported by communication research produced by an interdisciplinary faculty group. As such, VECTOR provides a fertile environment for faculty collaboration and excellence in the teaching and scholarship of Communication as an academic area of study.

In continuing support of this initiative, COAS invites applicants for two additional faculty positions in the following disciplinary areas: Technical Communication (tenure-track) and ELL (non-tenure-track). These new faculty will have the opportunity to engage with colleagues across multiple disciplines to advance the body of knowledge associated with these areas. Specifically, COAS is seeking faculty who will contribute original research and curriculum development that advance theory, concepts, and practice.
