- The College of Communication requires five (5) professor/associate/assistant professors to teach courses related to the digital/social media, digital media design, emerging technologies and data analytics for news, PR and creative industries. These new posts will support the modernization of the existing degrees, particularly the BA in Digital Media, as well as the expansion of new provisions in areas such as media management, social media engagement, digital transformation and digital marketing among others.
- One or more of these positions are expected to become joint appointments with other collages such as business administration, computing and science. These posts will be used to develop research-lead teaching in areas such as social media, digital transformation, data analytics, data journalism, digital humanities and innovation and enterprise. The people hired will bring about additional skill sets into our delivery and teaching, which we expect to help improve employability and entrepreneurship within the college.
