The Department of English at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York is accepting applications for Visiting Assistant Professors in Undergraduate Writing and Composition.
These are full-time (1.00 FTE) positions with an academic-year (10-month) obligation. Initial appointments will be made for one- or two-year terms, and will not be renewed further.
Incumbents will have a 2-2 teaching load consisting of ENG 105 and a range of CL2 courses, perform some service requirements (mentoring early program instructors and leading a professional development workshop), and have devoted time for independent scholarship. Depending on staffing and program needs, that teaching load may be met with administrative duties substituting for a section of teaching. The 10-month salary for this full-time appointment is $48,000.
