Position: Assistant Professor of Communication

Status: Full Time, Tenure Track

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include teaching four undergraduate courses in Communication (12 hours per semester); engaging in scholarly research; serving on committees; advising students; and performing other duties as assigned by the department chair.  
The faculty member should be prepared to teach general education courses as well as upper-division courses required for the communication major.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Communication (in hand by August 2022) or a related field is required.
Preference will be given to the candidate who has a specialty and/or work experience in new or emerging media and communication technology
College-level teaching experience and a record of scholarly activity are preferred.   
Candidates who have the ability to bridge communication with other interdisciplinary programs are encouraged to apply.

Salary
Ten-month contract; commensurate with education, training, and experience
