The Department of Writing, Rhetoric, & Digital Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky invites applications for three full-time Lecturer position to begin August 1, 2025. The selected candidates will be appointed to a 9-month, non-tenure eligible faculty position for an initial two-year period that has the potential for renewal and for promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years. The successful candidates will have comparable pedagogical expertise and experience teaching face-to-face and online sections of WRD 204: Technical Writing as well as possibly WRD 304: Writing in the Social Sciences and WRD 310: Writing in the Natural Sciences. In addition, the successful candidates will have extensive experience teaching courses similar to our first-year sequence, including WRD 110, WRD 111, or WRD 112. The teaching load is four courses a semester and the position will involve departmental service.
The Department of Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Studies (WRD) offers a BA/BS in Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Studies, a minor in Professional and Technical Writing, and an online graduate certificate in Professional and Technical Writing. More information about our department is available at

An M.A. or Ph.D. in English or Writing Studies/Rhetoric and Composition is required.
