Assistant Professor of CommunicationEmbry-Riddle Aeronautical UniversityDaytona Beach, FloridaThe Department of Humanities and Communication seeks a tenure-track assistant professor with a Ph.D. in communication, or related field. Applicants who are ABD with dissertations near completion and graduation before August 2019 will also be considered. The successful candidate will have academic preparation in teaching speech communication, as well as expertise in digital media and science communication. Teaching duties, to begin in August 2019, generally include a combination of courses in the communication major and the speech communication course required in the University’s general education program. We seek candidates who will contribute to the department’s collegial, energetic atmosphere. Candidates must have demonstrated excellence in teaching, an agenda to pursue significant scholarly activity, a commitment to general education, and excellent interpersonal communication skills. The first-year course load will be 3/3; thereafter, it will be 4/4. As the search progresses, a teaching portfolio and other materials may be requested from applicants.
