VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR-FRENCH
The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at Oakland University invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of French to begin August 15, 2019. This will be a one-year appointment with possible renewal. Ph.D. in French (language & literature) or equivalent, native or near-native proficiency in both French and English; strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, demonstrated ability to teach in an undergraduate French program including language (beginner through advanced); an undergraduate literature capstone (field of specialization open, preference for Medieval and/or Early Modern literature and culture); also, the demonstrated ability to teach a specialty course, such as Business French; willingness to perform some departmental, college or university service. Candidates must demonstrate experience with or a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
