Baylor seeks to fill the following tenured faculty position in the Department of Philosophy within the College of Arts & Sciences.

Professor

The Department of Philosophy seeks to make a full-time, regular appointment at the Full Professor rank.  Area of specialization: open.  Area of competence:  open.  Expectations include teaching and mentoring students at the graduate and undergraduate level, a significant research and publication agenda, a willingness to pursue appropriate external funding opportunities, collegial involvement in the department's programs and activities, and support for the university's Christian mission. The term of service begins in the Fall semester of 2024.  Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.  

Candidates should possess an earned doctorate in the appropriate field of study.  Applicants should provide a CV, letter of application, writing sample, three letters of recommendation, and an official transcript showing the highest degree conferred; teaching portfolio is optional.  The letter of application should respond to Baylor's mission statement, include information about the applicant's religious commitments, and the relationship between those commitments and the applicant's work as a teacher and scholar.
