The Department of Humanities and Communication at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott campus, invites applications for a part-time teaching position to start August 26, 2019. The successful candidate will teach 100-level humanities courses and the occasional upper-division humanities course to a variety of students, with course content reflecting the candidate’s area of expertise in the humanities (e.g., mythology, literature, music, visual arts, cultural studies).
As a part-time teacher, the successful candidate may teach up to 6 courses per year (fall, spring, summer) as negotiated with the department chair. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. The instructor is responsible for facilitating the class, grading student documents and other assignments, and working with the course monitor to develop the class and assess student work. The instructor is also responsible for maintaining his/her Canvas electronic course site.
