Adjunct Faculty, School of General Studies

Philosophy and Religion - to teach Philosophy and Religion courses in-person with an immediate need for Intro to Philosophy and Intro to Ethics. Other courses include: Critical Thinking; Philosophy of Law; Theories of Punishment; Intro to Religion; Eastern Religions; and Western Religions. Openings are available for fall and spring semesters.

Philosophy and Religion at Kean Ocean - to teach The Philosophy of Law in-person at the Kean Ocean campus located in Toms River. Openings are available for the fall semester.

All adjunct positions require a Master’s degree in a related field and teaching experience unless otherwise indicated; candidates with an ABD, Ed.D., Ph.D. or other acceptable disciplinary doctorate are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in a Learning Management System (LMS), such as Blackboard or Canvas and Online Learning Pedagogy is required of all adjuncts, consistent with University guidelines. Kean may offer free voluntary LMS workshops to otherwise qualified applicants.

Additional Information

As a condition of employment, external candidates are required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to their start date.
