Adjunct Instructor, Korean Language Program, Linguistics

The Department of Linguistics at the University at Buffalo is seeking a pool of qualified applicants for possible temporary part-time faculty teaching assignments. These positions are filled on an as needed basis and are on-going recruitment efforts.
Duties include:
● Provide quality instructions for assigned classes, create and maintain an environment which emphasizes teaching and learning and encourages free discussion of ideas, interests and issues.
● Prepare and deliver lesson plans for in-person instruction based on established syllabi and specific student needs.
● Evaluate student progress and academic achievement through a combination of course projects, papers, exams, and overall student engagement.
● Maintain student records such as grades and attendance.
● Participate in required meetings and professional development events of the Korean program.
● Hold regular office hours for student conferencing. Respond to student emails in a timely manner.
This is a pooled posting, and positions are filled on an as needed basis.
Adjunct instructors should be available to teach in-person at the University at Buffalo. No relocation support will be provided for these positions.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
