The https://arts-sciences.buffalo.edu/linguistics.htmlDepartment of Linguistics at the University at Buffalo is seeking an American Sign Language Lecturer for a 10-month (academic-year commitment) full-time, non-tenure track position with an initial two-year appointment with possible renewal, contingent on performance, department need, and availability of program funding.
The successful candidate’s responsibilities include teaching three courses per semester; planning classroom lesson plans; grading student work; participating in and recommending course syllabus revisions; providing administrative support to the Director of the ASL program; attending department meetings; holding on-campus office hours; advising ASL Club students and assisting them in planning events as needed; managing the ASL Honor Society students and hosting the induction ceremony.
The successful candidate must be able to regularly teach in-person classes on the University at Buffalo campus beginning Fall 2022.
