The Department of Philosophy seeks to make a full-time, regular appointment at the Associate or Full Professor rank. Area of specialization: Bioethics.  Area of competence:  Open.  Expectations include teaching and mentoring students at the graduate and undergraduate level, a significant research and publication agenda, a willingness to pursue appropriate grant funding opportunities in collaboration with an interdisciplinary bioethics research cluster at Baylor, collegial involvement in the department's programs and activities, and support for the university's Christian mission. The term of service begins in the Fall semester of 2024.  Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.  

Candidates should possess an earned doctorate and a record of scholarship, teaching and service commensurate with the expectations for this position at the Associate or Full rank.  Successful candidates will also have a history of faith community engagement and commitment to active membership in a local church or synagogue.
