The Department of Anthropology at Tufts University is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach Anthropology of the Environment, an introductory level class, in the fall of 2023 and a mid-level environmental anthropology course in the spring of 2024 in the candidate’s area of expertise. These courses should introduce key themes and topics in environmental anthropology and explore the relevance of the field to address current planetary challenges.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with college-level teaching experience; a Ph.D. or ABD candidate status in Anthropology is preferred, but those with PhDs in related fields are also encouraged to apply.
