Position: Assistant Professor of Communication
Location: College of Arts and Sciences- Modern Languages, Communication and Philosophy

Status: Full Time (tenure-track)

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Teach four communication-related classes (12 hours) per semester; The faculty member should be prepared to teach general education courses as well as upper-division courses required for the communication major
Engage in scholarly research
Serve on committees
Advise students
Perform other duties as assigned by the department chair
Qualifications

Ph.D. in Communications (in hand by August 2019) or a related field is required; Preference will be given to the candidate who has a specialty and/or work experience in new or emerging media and communication technology
Candidates with experience candidates who have experience teaching both online and in a traditional setting are encouraged to apply
Collegiate teaching experience and a record of scholarly activity are preferred
Candidates with the ability to bridge communications and other interdisciplinary programs are encouraged to apply
Salary
Commensurate with education, training and experience
