A Lecturer is a twelve-month, full-time employee who teaches 39 credits per year and provides student and learning support services during the assigned periods. The Lecturer holds a strong commitment to teaching; maintains office and advising hours for students; actively participates in the university community; and does related work as required. This is a non-tenure track position that may be renewed on an annual basis. Teaching assignments and related responsibilities may include day, evening, weekend and online courses. Interest or experience in using advanced instructional technologies to improve the teaching/learning process is highly desirable. Courses may be taught at the Union campus, Kean Ocean, Kean Skylands or other locations. Positions are effective for the fall 2019 semester.

School of General Studies
The School of General Studies provides students with broad preparations for their majors and for life's social and intellectual challenges. The skills developed and the knowledge acquired through general education coursework will support achievement in the major and success in endeavors beyond graduation.
Philosophy- to teach classes in Philosophy at the introductory and the advanced level. Master's degree in a related field and a minimum of one year of teaching experience at the post-secondary level is required. Experience teaching both Philosophy and Religion is preferred.
