The Department of Communication at Bryant University invites applications for a full-time, renewable, lecturer position to begin fall of 2018. While the successful candidate will be considered a full-time member of the Department of Communication, her/his duties will be split between teaching and service in the Department of Communication and in the Graduate Programs Office working to recruit graduate students for the College of Arts and Sciences.
The successful candidate will be required to teach two courses each semester in the Department of Communication and conduct service for the department (including running the annual Public Speaking Colloquium). The specific courses will depend on the candidate’s qualifications. Additionally, the candidate will be required to work 20 hours a week as the Graduate School Recruiter for the College of Arts and Sciences. The Graduate School Recruiter reports to the Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and the Director of the Graduate Programs Office (GPO) and is responsible for providing accurate information pertaining to the enrollment process, academic programs, university policies and services, and admissions criteria to prospective students and other related individuals and groups.
