The University of Religions and Denominations (URD) in Iran is presently inviting (the second round of) applications for research fellowships or visiting fellowships. These opportunities enable researchers to remotely establish research projects in their own areas of interest. These areas include philosophy, theology, religious studies, and women and family studies, among other fields in humanities and social sciences. The fellowship period will commence on September 15, 2023, and conclude on February 28, 2024. Scholars at various stages of their academic careers, including PhD students in the final stages of their doctoral work, are encouraged to apply, irrespective of their country of origin.
This fellowship provides a remote opportunity, requiring researchers to disseminate their research findings through publication in Scopus-indexed journals. Researchers are expected to acknowledge the University of Religions and Denominations as their primary or secondary affiliation in their published articles. Remuneration for this fellowship will be based on a project-based model, with researchers receiving compensation for each successfully published research article. The payment fee for each article will range between 700-1000 US Dollars, contingent upon the SJR journal ranking. Payments will be disbursed in two instalments: upon acceptance of each article, researchers will receive 50% of the awarded amount (350, 400, 450, or 550 USD, corresponding to the journal quartile 4-1), and the remaining 50% will be promptly paid after the publication of the respective article. While there is no limitation on the number of articles to be published, all articles must be accepted for publication within the fellowship period.
To apply for this fellowship, interested individuals are requested to submit an expression of interest, along with a concise curriculum vitae, electronically to Mohsen Moghri (Mohsen.moghri@gmail.com) or Ahmad Moghri (moghri.a@gmail.com). Please ensure to use the subject line "Short-term Researcher, FULL NAME" when submitting the application via email. The deadline for application submission is September 15, 2023. Successful applicants will receive their invitation letter and collaboration contract shortly after the deadline.
Sincerely,
Ahmad Moghri, Program Director, University of Religions and Denominations
