    Full-Time, Benefitted [/b]

The English Department at the University of Massachusetts Lowell invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Latinx Literature. We are particularly interested in candidates whose scholarship is informed by comparative transnational approaches such as Literature and Culture of the Americas, Diaspora Studies, or Hemispheric American Studies.

The successful candidate will teach surveys of American, Ethnic American, and/or World literatures; the introduction to the major; and intermediate- and upper-level courses in Latinx literatures. The teaching load is 3/2 or 2/2 based on levels of research productivity, and all tenure track faculty are eligible for a pre-tenure sabbatical.

UMass Lowell is a public university committed to preparing our students for work in the real world — solving real problems and helping real people — by providing an affordable high-quality education. Our campus is bursting with energy — enrollment is up, new academic programs are being launched, and new facilities are being acquired and are under construction.
