The Department of Anthropology at the University of Kentucky invites applications for an appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, in the Special Title Series, to begin Fall 2017. We seek a specialist in undergraduate teaching and pedagogy, with expertise in physical anthropology and bio-archaeology, who can contribute to the Department’s undergraduate major and the University of Kentucky’s undergraduate curriculum, otherwise known as the UKCore.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in curriculum development and significant teaching experience at the undergraduate level to include large lecture courses in biological anthropology, as well as topical courses in forensic anthropology, contemporary human variation and human skeletal anthropology. This is a full-time tenure track faculty appointment. Teaching load is 3/3 with an emphasis on undergraduate courses and the possibility of offering 500-level undergraduate/graduate courses. PhD required at the beginning of appointment.
