The Department of German Studies at Smith College invites applications for a full-time, benefits eligible position at the rank of Lecturer, to begin July 1, 2017. The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal for a second year. The successful candidate will teach five courses at all levels of German language and culture and participate in department activities. Candidates are expected to possess native or near-native fluency in German and English, a Ph.D. or ABD status in German, as well as a proven record in teaching German at the undergraduate level. Applicants with an interest in digital pedagogy are especially encouraged to apply.
