The SSJ fellow is expected to coordinate community partnerships and logistics by:
  • Acting as a liaison, building and maintaining relationships with community partners and service sites;
  • Researching and developing new partnerships that meet the vision of the program and volunteers;
  • Maintaining knowledge of best practice to keep the program in line with trends, the needs of partners, and University requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • Experience with Theological Reflection
  • Knowledge of the Principles of Catholic Social Teaching.
  • An ability to carry out Villanova Universitys Augustinian Mission of Roman Catholic Higher Education in the Augustinian Tradition.
  • Knowledge of theories of faith development and psychological development of the young adult.
  • Demonstrated previous experience developing and coordinating a service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Facility with social media.
  • Excellent Organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively on diverse teams, and lead teams when necessary.
  • Capacity to manage large groups of volunteers to serve and learn in a variety of locations.
  • Proven ability to inspire and nurture a climate of inclusiveness, collegiality, and shared responsibility.
  • Computer: Microsoft Applications including Word and Excel. Knowledge of basic web editing.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in Theology/Pastoral Ministry or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in higher education preferred
  • Demonstrated experience promoting dialogue among students, faculty, and staff as well as with community members, and other university constituencies preferred.
