Visiting Instructor of Humanities and Communication – (180019)
Description
The Humanities and Communication Department of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach Campus, seeks a non-tenure-track Visiting Instructor with an M.A., M.F.A, or a Ph.D. in Composition, Rhetoric, English, or related field to teach some of the following general education courses: developmental writing, composition, technical writing, humanities (survey), and speech communication. Successful candidates must have demonstrated excellence in teaching college-level writing courses, a commitment to general education, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to teach a breadth of courses. Instructors teach a 5/5 course load with no expectations for service or scholarship. As a visiting position, the instructorship will be for a one-year term only. Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience, and applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
